We feel East Kent is an exciting place to live and work and an ideal place to retire, with historic cities like Canterbury nearby, a wide range of excellent regular and outlet shopping
options, and first class cultural opportunities, including the recently opened Turner Contemporary overlooking Margate’s seafront. Plus, there are 26 miles of sandy beaches, including several blue flag beaches,
around the Thanet coasts. Additionally, there is a range of kosher foods available from Sainsbury's supermarket next to the Westwood Cross shopping centre just a few minutes away from our Synagogue.
Life in Thanet is calmer, and the air clearer than in the major conurbations. The climate is milder too, with refreshing sea breezes in summer and winters that are generally less affected
by snow & ice than elsewhere in the UK. London is within quick and easy reach via the High Speed ‘Javelin’ train, and for those travelling further afield Manston airport offers very easy hassle free air links around the world via KLM's twice daily service to Amsterdam.
